Today, Americans on opposite sides of the political spectrum don’t only disagree on issues — they increasingly dislike one another. It's not healthy for our communities, our country or our children. We need to find ways to communicate in a civil way again.
Skeptical that it's possible? So were we.
We offer companies, religious groups, neighborhood groups, book clubs, and other organizations introductory presentations about the work we're doing to decrease political polarization in our community along with skills building workshops.
✔️ As individuals, we try to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we don’t agree with it.
✔️ In our communities, we engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and ways to work together.
✔️ In politics, we support principles that bring us together rather than divide us.
Local Alliance Co-Chairs Nancy Cunningham & Eddie Jones speak with WHQR's Benjamin Schachtman about Braver Angels of Wilmington's work to decrease political polarization in our community.
